Rae is a Registered Psychologist in NW Calgary specializing in individual counselling for adults (age 25 - 65). She helps those experiencing a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, overwhelm, work/life balance, life transitions, work issues, grief and loss.
Through connecting authentically with her clients, Rae strives to create a warm, collaborative, and non-judgemental space where individuals feel safe to explore those challenging aspects within their life.
Counselling is thoughtful and conversational in nature. She works to access a person’s inherent strength, and through this process, empower her clients to face their obstacles, gain new perspectives, and harness new skills for meaningful change.
To address individual concerns and needs, Rae takes a strength-based, client-centred approach; drawing from several research-supported therapeutic modalities including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), narrative therapy (NT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing (MI). To compliment or deepen counselling, Rae provides trauma-based interventions, namely Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE).
